DAXXIFY
Daxxify is an injectable botulinum toxin that is specifically designed to treat frown lines between the eyebrows. Daxxify is enhanced with peptides to deliver the active ingredients to the nerve cells to temporarily improve moderate to severe lines.
Daxxify is also free of human serum albumin, which is a protein found in human and animal blood. Daxxify uses a peptide exchange technology instead of human serum albumin, which Botox uses, to deliver the toxin to the nerve cells. Peptides have been successfully introduced as topical, oral, and injectable products and now Revance Injectables, the makers of RHA Fillers, have the first and only peptide-formulated neuromodulator.
Many patients see results as early as one day after treatment with Daxxify, in contrast to some other neuromodulators which can take longer to take effect. Daxxify acts as a stronger treatment when compared to Botox or Dysport and is priced more highly for that reason. The best way to determine accurate pricing and to ensure candidacy is by scheduling a visit with one of our providers to be evaluated. Many times, our providers will be able to perform this treatment on the day of the consultation.
What is Daxxify?
Daxxify is a neuromodulator in the same family as Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau. The effects of these neuromodulators typically last anywhere from three to six months, according to the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Is Daxxify better than Botox?
We like to say Daxxify isn’t better, but it is different. In some studies, Daxxify results have been shown to last longer than Botox with Daxxify patients even seeing results up to 6 months post treatment.
Who is a good candidate for Daxxify?
You may be a candidate for Daxxify if you are in good general health and are hoping to reduce the appearance of frown lines on the brow. Ideal candidates are ages 18 and up who have no active infections.
How much does Daxxify cost?
Our injectable pricing is based on current market price and is subject to change. Daxxify is priced higher than other neuromodulators and you can expect exact pricing quotes valid for 90 days at your consultation. How long does it take for Daxxify to work?
Most people see results starting within two to three days, but full results take up to 14 days. We ask that patients schedule a 2 week follow up exam, especially when it’s your first time receiving injectables, to ensure you are getting the best possible results. We do not retreat within two weeks of injections to ensure there is no possibility of over treatment.
Why is Daxxify more expensive than other neuromodulators?
Daxxify is more expensive primarily because the product itself costs more. This product is new to the market which means you aren’t only paying for the latest product, but also the rigorous training and high level of education that our providers undergo to become experts on the treatment itself.
Does Daxxify really last longer?
Some studies show Daxxify lasts longer than other neuromodulators, but we have found that it varies from patient to patient. During your consultation, our providers will give you an idea of how long you can expect Daxxify to last based on your individual goals and current condition.
Will Daxxify work if Botox or Dysport isn’t working?
If Botox or Dysport isn't lasting as long as it previously did, Daxxify might be an option for you. Some patients have reported building up a resistance to Botox and are no longer seeing results lasting 3 to 4 months. Daxxify can serve as a suitable alternative for this issue.
Can Daxxify be reversed?
No. The effects of Daxxify need time to wear off naturally. Most adverse effects wear off in 2-4 weeks, but full effects can take a few months to completely dissipate.
