The RHA Collection is the only FDA-approved line of hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers for dynamic lines, wrinkles, and folds. Designed for facial dynamics, the advanced formulation of these HA fillers is intentionally designed to adapt to your facial movements.
Your skin naturally contains hyaluronic acid, giving it moisture for a smooth look. Unfortunately, as we age, the body produces less HA. The RHA Collection is designed for longer-lasting, more natural-looking results to help boost the youthful glow of your skin. With four different types of HA filler available in their line, you are sure to find an RHA for you!
What makes RHA Fillers different from the competition?
RHA Preserved Network Technology produces a less-rigidly crosslinked gel designed to adapt to facial dynamics without compromising durability. Some fillers are comprised of larger hyaluronic acid molecules which are generally designed to plump more rigid areas of the face such as cheeks and upper face, providing you with durable volume and lift. RHA made their filler with the lower half of the face in mind, so their filler is designed with smaller HA molecules and formulated for a more flexible in hard-to-treat areas like around the mouth.
What are the different types of RHA filler and what makes them unique?
RHA is the only FDA approved HA filler for dynamic lines, wrinkles and folds. It uses a dynamic HA formula, meaning your face will look natural at rest and maintain everyday movement. There are four different products from the RHA line: RHA 2, RHA 3, RHA 4, and RHA Redensity. Each of them are uniquely formulated for particular needs and areas of the face.
RHA Redensity is a super thin product to maintain movement, perfect for vertical lip lines.
RHA 2 and RHA 3 are for moderate smoothing and an elegant natural look for facial wrinkles and folds.
RHA 4 has larger molecules for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, like the nasolabial folds.
What’s the difference between filler injection and anti-aging serum?
Filler injections are in-office treatments during which your provider will inject Hyaluronic Acid under the skin to restore lost volume and smooth lines immediately. This treatment is done once usually 6-12 months apart, as results can last up to 15 months.
Anti-aging serums are typically pain-free products that can be purchased from a medical professional, prescribed, or even purchased over the counter. They are intended to treat wrinkles associated with aging and are commonly applied nightly to the face 1-2 times per day. Serums are not made to restore lost volume beneath the surface of the skin, but rather help treat issues topically.
Why is a dynamic filler important?
Dynamic fillers are specifically designed to have a high level of resilience because they are used in dynamic areas of the face, such as around the mouth. We make micromovements all throughout the day like smiling, laughing, and talking, so it’s important to have a dynamic filler that can adapt to those movements. The RHA Collection is specifically designed for facial dynamics and a natural look at rest and in motion.
When will I see results and how long will they last?
Dermal filler injection results are immediate and the results can typically last up to 15 months in wrinkles and folds and 1 year in lipstick lines. Your filler takes time to settle and heal, so you will see your final results at about 2 weeks post-treatment. During this time, you may experience some swelling that may appear uneven at times or worse at certain times of day. This is normal and will resolve within 2 weeks, but if you experience excess swelling, redness, or tenderness, call to speak to a provider immediately.
What is it like to get injected with dermal fillers?
When receiving dermal fillers, your provider will numb the area with a topical anesthetic for 30 minutes prior to treatment. The filler will then be injected into the desired area using a fine needle, which most people say feels like a pinch. Dr. Moe is trained using a cannula, which is a blunt ended needle that has been shown to reduce bruising and swelling after your treatment. If a cannula is used during your procedure, a very small guide needle will be used first to create the hole in the skin for the cannula to enter through. After the injection is complete, you may experience some redness or swelling in the treatment area for a few days. You may also notice some bruising around the injection site. These common side effects are temporary and should go away within 14 days.
How much can I expend to spend on my filler?
You can expect to pay $750- $800 per syringe for filler at our office. Our board-certified physicians are highly qualified and attend regular training to stay up to date on the newest techniques and safety guidelines. When deciding on an injector, make sure to choose based on experience and training rather than on cost alone. A well-trained and board-certified injector makes all the difference when it comes to achieving beautiful, natural-looking results.
