What areas can be treated with Evolve?
Evolve can trim, tone, and tighten nearly every or any body area. Popular areas treated are abdomens, arms, flanks, hips, thighs, knees and buttocks.
How does it work?
Evolve delivers two types of energy to the skin, muscle and fat. Radiofrequency is used to heat the skin to tighten collagen and elastin fibers for effective tissue remodeling. This results in less crepiness on the skin. It also creates firmness to skin for a smoother and more youthful appearance. When radiofrequency heats fat, patients can lose fat permanently in the treated area. However, this platform is highly customizable and, if a patient desired only to firm their buttocks but not lose any of the fat, the TONE treatment could be administered only to prevent losing any of the fat in the area. Electrical stimulation is the second energy of the platform that allows highly effective and efficient muscle contraction in the area. With the TONE or TRANSFORM, one can achieve a workout 10,000 times more effective than their workout in the gym for any given anatomical area. Evolve has built-in thermal sensors that monitor the skin surface temperature. This helps the device reach optimal performance, delivering outstanding results and while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Is it EVOLVE painful?
This non-invasive treatment is not painful. Many people compare its muscle activation to what is felt with a TENS unit and the heat from the radiofrequency to that of a hot stone massage. Evolve is done in the comfort of a treatment room and one can expect to return to normal activities immediately post-treatment. Treatments last around 60 minutes on average.
How long will it take to see results?
While you may not see results immediately after your first treatments, you will observe gradual and building results during the course of treatments. Any redness or warmth noticed in the treated area is common and will subside after a few hours. For those who strengthen the muscles in the treated area, one may feel like they had a good workout at the gym for a day or two.
How many treatments will I need?
We see optimal results for patients with 6-8 treatments spaced one week apart. Most patients see the most success by maintaining these results with single treatments a few times per year following the initial course.
Can the technologies be used separately as well?
Yes! Evolve Tite, Tone, and Transform can be used separately or in conjunction depending on your unique needs!
Who is the optimal candidate for Evolve body contouring?
The patients who see the best results are often patients who are at the ideal BMI, but are struggling with fat reduction in stubborn areas. Mothers who have just had babies, love the treatment on their abdomens in order to regain firmness to the stretched out muscles and skin. Many times, Frederick Dermatology Associates will combine its Morpheus8 technology to help optimize skin tightening for those patients desiring extra toning of abdomen, arms, and legs.
Evolve vs Coolsculpting?
The biggest difference between CoolSculpting and Evolve is that CoolSculpting focuses only on fat reduction while the Evolve focuses on fat reduction, muscle toning, AND skin tightening. As a general rule, CoolSculpting is best if you are looking to get rid of unwanted fat alone. Evolve is best if you want to reduce fat while also tightening and toning the treatment area. However, we do require consultations prior to booking your first treatment to ensure candidacy, review realistic goals and expectations, and answer any questions you may have before the procedure.
What is the cost of Evolve?
Cost will range from 250-350 dollars per treatment.
Can the Evolve be combined with other noninvasive modalities?
Yes, it can. For example, Sculptra is a great combination treatment for those working on improving the appearance of their buttocks, especially where a larger, rounded physique is desired.
What are the contraindications to Evolve?
Patients who have pacemakers or defibrillators may not do this given the radiofrequency emitted. Also, patients who are pregnant cannot do this treatment.
What can I do to prepare for my Evolve treatments?
Hydration during treatments is key to optimize the effectiveness of heat generation and tissue remodeling by the radiofrequency. Please come to your appointment with clean, shaved skin in the treated area. Ultrasound gel will be used for the applicators, so please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
