Please note: a credit card is required to book new patient appointments and will be securely stored. No-show fees apply to all patients to help ensure timely, high-quality care.

Frequently asked questions about our Financial Policy:

1. Why does Frederick Dermatology Associates require a credit or debit card on file?

We use a secure, PCI/DSS-compliant system to store card information. This allows us to automatically charge your card for any remaining balance after insurance processing, eliminating the need for paper statements.

2. Will I be notified before my card is charged?

Yes. A receipt will be emailed to you immediately after a transaction is processed.

3. Can I dispute a charge or question my insurance after my card is charged?

Absolutely. Having a card on file does not affect your ability to dispute a charge or review your insurance’s explanation of benefits.

4. What if my procedure is cosmetic?

Cosmetic procedures are not covered by insurance. Full payment is required at the time of the procedure.

5. What types of cards are accepted?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover — either as credit or debit cards.

6. What is your cancellation policy?

• Medical appointments: 24-hour notice required or a $40 fee will apply.

• Cosmetic/surgical/aesthetician appointments: 72-hour notice required or a $100 fee will apply.

7. How do I update my card or contact information?

Please contact our office directly to update your card or email information securely.

8. Do I have to sign the financial policy form?

Yes, by signing the form, you acknowledge and authorize the terms of the financial policy, including automatic payments.
