Is Sclerotherapy painful?
Most patients experience minimal discomfort during the procedure. The injection may cause a slight burning or cramping sensation, but this typically subsides quickly.
How long does a Sclerotherapy session take?
A typical session lasts about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the number and size of the veins being treated and almost always will be combined with targeted laser therapy for the smallest most superficial veins
How many treatments will I need?
We recommend 3 treatment sessions per area.
What can I expect after the procedure?
After the procedure, you may experience some mild swelling, bruising, or redness at the injection sites. These side effects usually resolve within a few days. It's also recommended to wear compression stockings for a few weeks to support your healing process, which should be acquired from Whitesell’s Pharmacy in Downtown Frederick prior to your first treatment.
When will I see results?
Most patients start to see improvement within a few weeks, with full results typically visible after 3 to 6 months.
Are there any risks or side effects?
